Biography

Edwin Gideon Albury was born about 1870 in Cherokee Sound, Abaco, Bahamas.

He married twice: first, to Julia Pinder, daughter of John Pinder, 22 July 1893, at Cherokee Sound, Abaco; and second, to Alice Pinder, daughter of John Pinder, 31 July 1900, at Cherokee Sound.

Gideon and Julia Albury were the parents of daughters Sarah Mabelle Albury and Mattie Gray Albury. Gideon and Alice had children - among them Valeria Gray, Amelia Ethel, Muriel Grace, and Howard Basil Albury.

Edwin Gideon Albury died 2 March 1942 in Nassau, Bahamas at 72 years of age.
