Biography
Stanley Victor Strathmore Albury was born in May 1873 in Harbour Island, Bahamas to Joseph Albury and Georgiana Parks.
He married Minnie Beatrice Parks, daughter of George Pearson Parks and Sarah Eliza Carey Parks. The couple had children - among them Harold George Parks, Kathleen Enid, Marjorie, Maude Dorothy, Robert Andrew, Georgina, Creighton Stanley, and Eric Proctor Albury.
SVS Albury was a schoolmaster in Eleuthera as a young man. When he moved to Nassau, he served as a prison warden before assuming administrative responsibilities at the hospital. He joined the Royal Victoria Lodge in 1912 and became a Freemason. He established Stanley V S Albury & Son Ltd - wholesalers and agents - in Nassau.
Stanley Victor Strathmore Albury passed away in 1961 in Nassau at 87 years of age.
