Henry Edward Alcock's birth was registered in the Lincoln Registration District in the December quarter of 1886 [1].
In 1891 Henry (4) was living with his parents William H (39 a joiner born Gainsborough) and Hannah (42 born Holdingham, Lincolnshire) and his siblings Caroline (12) and Fanny E Alcock (10) at St Mary le Wigford, Lincolnshire, England. All the children were born in Lincoln [2].
In 1901, Henry Edwin (14) was living with his widowed mother Hannah (a dressmaker, aged 52, born Holidingham), and his siblings Caroline (22 a dressmaker) and Fanny Elizabeth (20 a post office clerk) in Nelson Street, Lincoln St Mary Le Wigford With Holmes Common, Lincolnshire, England. All the children were born in Lincoln [3].
In 1911 the household was the same four people: Hannah (62, born Holdingham Sleaford), Caroline (32, dressmaker), Fanny Elizabeth (30, sub-post-office clerk) and Henry Edwin (24, a clerk working for the city council) [4].
Henry was buried on 18th October 1917 at Canwick Cemetery, Lincoln. He was, at the time of death, living at St Faith, Nelson Street [5].
