Christopher son of John Alcock (1693-bef.1748), Rector of Burnsall, was born on 26th June 1732 and baptised at Burnsall on 10th July 1732 [1].
Christopher attended Burnsall School, and attended Cambridge University, at JSt John's College, graduating BA in 1744. He was ordained Deacon at York on 21st September 1756. He was vicar of Glossop, Derbyshire, from 1766 to 1781 [2].
He was buried at St Wilfred's church Burnsall, with the title Reverend [3].
