Biography
William was born about 1811. He was the son of Gustavus Alcorn.
He was 35 years old when he married Margaret Dowell/Doel aged 28 of Horn Head in 1846. Their marriage took place at the Ballymore Church witnessed by Andrew Alcorn and William Algoe. [1]
William Alcorn, Widower, passed away in 1889. His age was given as 83 but would have been nearer nearer 76/77 based on age given at the time of his marriage. His daughter Fanny McKinley was present and the informant of his death. [2]
