Mary Simpson Alcorn/Alcoyn the daughter of Joseph and Ellen Alcoyn was born in Ireland in March 1841.
Mary Alcoyn emigrated to Australia in late December 1856 on the Pedestrian with her parents and siblings. They arrived in Melbourne in April 1857. They then proceeded to travel on to the Sydney colony from there.
Mary married George Knight at Ulladulla in southern New South Wales, Australia in June 1861. They would go on to have at least 5 children before George's disappearance in about 1871.
Mary passed away in early 1915 at Alstonville near Ballina in northern New South Wales, Australia.
