Lewis Lincoln Alden was born on 2 February 1889 in Gorham, Maine[1].
Lewis passed away on 22 September 1918 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts[2]. The camp was used as a training ground for soldiers during World War I; it is possible his death was accidental. He is buried in Eastern Cemetery in his hometown of Gorham.
