He died on 19 July 1834 and was buried on the 24 July 1834 at St Augustine, Norwich.[3]
In his will, he named his wife Jane as beneficiary and executrix. He also mentioned that he inherited property from a brother Edward who had died intestate. No children were mentioned. This was Edward Alden who died two months before his brother. Charles' will was dated 2nd July 1834, only 17 days before his death. It gave his age as 50 - he was christened in 1783. His effects were under twenty pounds.[4]
Acknowledgement
Thanks to the research of G. Perry, we had the new lead on the marriage of Charles and Jane.Hylton-692 23:47, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Hylton-692
G's theory was that perhaps Charles, either went to Ireland to learn his trade, or was in the Militia and met Jane there. Recent research would make this theory very possible.[5]
