Biography

Joseph Alden was born about 1668 (based on his age at death), probably in Bridgewater, Plymouth Colony to Joseph Alden and his wife, Mary Simmons. He married Hannah Dunham on January 29, 1690, in his hometown. They had ten children in 20 years. He died on December 22, 1747, in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, having lived a long life of 79 years, and was buried there.

He was a grandson of Mayflower Pilgrims John Alden and Priscilla Mullins Alden. He married Hannah Dunham about 1689 or 90.
