Biography

Bidwell was born in Ohio about 1835, the son of Almon and Lucy Alderman.^[1] He married in Ohio Mary E. Earl in 1862^[2] and then Ursula F. Orr in Wisconsin in 1867.^[3] Bidwell passed away after 1875.^[4]

Research Notes

• The Wisconsin Marriage source says Bidwell married Anna M. Orr, not Ursula. This appears to be a transcription error, based on later sources showing Ursula with the last name of Alderman, including the 1870 Census.^[5]
• The last source found for Bidwell was the 1875 Census, and Ursula married her second husband in 1881.
