In 1931 Evelyn married George William Aldus.[3] At the time of the 1939 Register the family lived on West Lane in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire. Evelyn carried out "unpaid domestic duties" and George worked as a dispatch clerk for a chemical company.[4]
