DEATH OF AN OLD SETTLER We regret to have to announce the death of Mr. Henry Alderson, an old resident on the Clarence River. Mr. Alderson (who had previously been employed as master of one of the Parramatta steamers came to the district about seventeen years ago, and for some time devoted himself to pastoral pursuits ; he afterwards followed the occupations of storekeeper and auctioneer, and for some time held the office of postmaster at South Grafton. His decease was rather unexpected by his friends. Severe cold, resulting in inflammation of the lungs, brought his life to a close on Saturday morning, at the age of fifty-two years. Clarence and Richmond Examiner.
