Biography

Thomas George Aldous (1882-1950) was born on the 7th February 1882 ^[1] in Northfleet, Kent. He was the son of Thomas Aldous & his first wife, Martha Lee. ^[2]

They lived in Northfleet when he was growing up ^[3] but after he left school, he travelled to London where, in 1901, he was boarding at Ethelm Street in Lambeth and he was employed as a glass blower. ^[4]

He married Minnie Bowden at Holy Trinity, Camden on the 3rd September 1905 at which time his occupation was shown as a glass packer and it would be in that profession that he would continue. He was residing in the Peabody buildings on Wild Street. ^{[5] [6]}

They started a family and had 2 daughters by 1911 ^[7] and would subsequently add a son, Samuel. I am not sure if or in what capacity he served in WW1 but he was in the same employ afterwards and they lived in the same place for decades. ^{[8] [1] [9]}

He died in the same local in February 1950 ^[10] and was buried in Camden on the 13th February 1950. ^[11]
