Caroline was born in 1853^[1] She was the daughter of John Aldred Caroline Leatt. She was living with her parents and siblings at St Georges Terrace, Hampstead, London, England in 1861^[2] She was a servant living in Charterhouse, London, Middlesex, England and she was working as a Domestic Servant in 1871^[3] She married Charles Allen in Marylebone, London, England in 1875^[4] She was living with her husband and children at Linstead Street, Holborn, London, England in 1881^[5] She was still living with her husband and children at Hemstall Road, Hempstead, London, England in 1891^[6] She was still living with them at Shoot Up Hill, Hampstead, London, England in 1901^[7]
