Bob Aldredge is a part of US Black heritage.
Bob was named in the 1861 will of John Aldredge of Craven County, North Carolina.
In 1861 John S Aldridge made his will in Craven County, North Carolina. It named wife Martha Aldridge, sons Lemuel H. Aldridge, Josiah S Aldridge, Aquilla S Aldridge, Parret H Aldridge, and John W. Aldridge; daughters Trinity [Mrs. George W.] Venters and Elizabeth Anne Aldridge. It also referred to "the Negroes not otherwise disposed of in this my last will" and named 15 enslaved people, who were bequeathed to members of the family: Amy, Sativa, Katy, Tim, Jemima, Bess, Kit, Bob, Henry, Hannah, Simon, Lemuel, Delilah, Adaline, and boy Joe.
