Biography

1776 Project
Jacob Aldrich served with Minutemen Regiment, Suffolk County Militia, New York Militia during the American Revolution.

Jacob Aldrich was born about 1723. He was the son of Jacob Aldrich and Bethiah Evans. He passed away in 1806.

Marriage

Jacob was married to Mary Sandiforth in 1747 at Southold, New York. [1]

He married 1) Mary Sandiforth on Aug 19, 1747 (Salmon Records), who died in 1761. He married 2) Mary (___) Reeve, widow on Apr 20, 1763 (Mattituck Parish Marriage Records). [2]

Will of

The will of Jacob Aldrich of Southold, 1 Aug 1805, proved 7 Oct 1806, Leaves legacies to daughters Bethiah and Mehitable at Goshen, Mary, Rachel and Mercy, and to sons Joseph and Thomas. Realty to said sons and to son Jacob "in partnership with my brother Steaven, deceased". Exe'rs= sons Thomas and Joseph, Benjamin Goldsmith [Liber B, pp. 384-5]. [4]
