Biography

The biography for Wesley Comstock is empty. What can you add? Probably can. So....I'm not that interesting, born out of wedlock, when is wasn't really a popular thing. Did the math, I was conceived traditionally for the end of year 1956, first 10 days of November, nothing special about the pregnancy or delivery, full term and good apgar. Dropped off at grandmothers and grandfathers, adopted, name change and thats that for that-and now we are here more or less intact and wishing I had know which questions to ask when I was a kid-could of made this easier but would of lost out on the education of hearing stories from 1890, 1900, WW-1, it was a big learning experience, the things each person wanted to impart on me when they could, amazing things to a young industrious minded boy........OK, still finding more of me everyday. Looking to fill past in and see where I came from, pretty much same thing everyone else is doing, try to trace it back to Adam and Eve, and those strange men from strange times, and I am my own uncle, who knew......

If your looking for free info-It ain't the best, but my memories are still sharp enough for now. Hang out and I'll write some more, really.... ....well crap, some days seem to short to process all the info, it like opens up like an umbrella, so much non linear info and yet it spans such a short time. I mean I can't imagine a world where I died before I could father a child, yet it's there, and your DNA coming from such different directions. Danish? had them for breakfast but didn't know I had it in me, Scandinavian-3-countries, English, seen a bunch of them at where our DNA is. I hope what we do helps at least and don't mess anything up-there are enough copies out there it would be hard to do much damage that wasn't reversible. If you have any questions at all feel free to ask, whats the worst that can happen, I shock you or something!?

Hi Wendy,

it looks like I have to have 3 profiles for some reason, and all the work I have done so far I loaded into a GEDCOM file, uploaded it and don't see it anywhere. I have to build another tree? And now it looks like I have to get more tests too to see my other stuff in here. And that don't seem right. Why do I have to have to have 2 profiles? I get a warning when I tried to remove and replace someone to the right place-father is different, not mother and we are still related not the way it looked-I don't have a father, and they have 2 different ones. Spliting part warning. This is as frustrating as it gets-I want to take the whole thing down and start over is what would be nice. Thank you Wesley Comstock

Hi Rusty, in general there should be one profile per person. If there are duplicate profiles, they should be merged into a single one. If you let me know the details, e.g. Profile IDs, I could look into it to see what has happened.

On WikiTree, uploading a GEDCOM is only the first step in the process. You then need to go through GEDCOMpare to make sure that the people don’t already have profiles. One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

If I can help further, please let me know.

Wendy

Hi there,

Each Wikitree profile should be for one person only. Can you please update this info.

Thanks!
