Biography

Donald was born in 1925. He is the son of Alvan Aldrich.

He was born March 9, 1925 in Rockford, Ill., to Alvin Carrol and Gladys Seavers Aldrich. He graduated from Bremerton High School in Bremerton, Wash. He came to Carlsbad in 1951, where he worked for Jay Firestone. He then worked for National Potash and retired in 1978 as a foreman on the loading docks.

Mr. Aldrich moved to Deming in 1985 for health reasons and returned to Carlsbad in 1993. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Carlsbad and Deming. He was active in San Jose and Mesa Street senior centers. He had been a deacon an Sunday school superintendent and had helped build La Huerta Baptist Church

Survivors include his wife, Delia Fay Aldrich of Carlsbad; sons, Richard Aldrich of Chandler, Ariz., Gene Graham of Midland, Texas, and Mike Graham of Santa Fe; daughter, Sandi Aldrich Mensch of Carlsbad; sister, Dorothy Robertson of Atoka, Okla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
