Biography

George was a Friend (Quaker)

George was born 13 January 1715 in Mendon, Massachusetts. ^[1][2] He was the son of Moses Aldrich and Hannah White

George married [1st] Mary Meriam. They were married on 7 Aug 1735 in Mendon, by William Arnold, Justice of the Peace.^[3]

George married [2nd] Abigail Keith, widow of Simeon Keith on 19 Nov 1741 in Mendon, Worcester, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^[4]

In August 1756, George's name appears in a list of practicing Quakers residing in Mendon. This list was presented to the town by his father, renowned Quaker preacher, Moses Aldrich, as a means to show who would not provide military support during the French and Indian War on account of their religious convictions.^[5]

George passed away on 14 Jul 1797 in Mendon, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.^[6][7]
