Bobby Gene Aldridge March 13, 1959 — October 1, 2021
Nahunta- Bobby Gene Aldridge,62 of Nahunta, passed away Friday afternoon (Oct.1,2021) at The Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after an extended illness.
Born in Waycross, GA. His parents were Isham Leroy Aldridge and Pauline Emmie Dryden Aldridge. Bobby was also preceded by his loving wife Kathy Winn Aldridge and his brother, Gary Michael Aldridge.
Bobby was of the Baptist faith and worked many years for The Brantley County Board of Education as Maintenance man. He retired from the Brantley County Sheriff’s Department prior to going to work for The Brantley County Board of Education. He enjoyed reading, fishing and loved hunting, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son Stephen Chad Aldridge, of Nahunta; two daughters and a son-in-law, Terrie Aldridge Redmond (James H. III), of Marietta, Ga., Brandie Aldridge Altman of Baxley; three grand children, Colton Altman, Kira Aldridge and Hartley Altman a brother and sister-in-law, Dewaine Aldridge (Patty), of Nahunta; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene Aldridge DePratter (Alton), of Brunswick, Linda Aldridge Sapp (Jerome), of Blackshear; a very special niece and her spouse, Melissa and Terry Lee, of Nahunta; his beloved wife’s twin sister, Karen Jackson, also several other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Monday evening (October 4, 2021) from 6PM-9PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday (October 5,2021) at 2PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
Burial will follow in McClellan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jackson Lee, Garrick Jackson, Jeremy DePratter, Craig Morgan, Shawn Jackson & David Lee,
Honorary pallbearers will be Brantley County Sheriffs Department and The Brantley Board of Education Maintenance Department.
Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
