GASPARO "Jasper" ALELLO Age 87 years


Husband of Rosalia Maria "Rosalie" Centanni.

Father of Laura Alello St. Angelo, Josephine Alello Messina, Angeline Alello Manisco, Lucy Alello, Rosario Alello, Sam Alello, Anthony Alello, and Frank Alello.

He was born in Italy and arrived in New Orleans on 24 October 1894 with his wife and their six oldest children who were also born in Sicily, Italy. After a short time in St. James Parish, he and his family moved to Baton Rouge where he resided for 52 years.


His funeral was held in Sacred Heart Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Saturday, 20 May 1944.

Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park, Baton Rouge.

Gasparo "Jasper" Alello was born in February 1857 in or near Alia, Sicilia.

Gasparo "Jasper" Alello married Rosalie Centanni and had several children:

  • Laura Alello St. Angelo,
  • Josephine Alello Messina,
  • Angeline Alello Manisco,
  • Lucy Alello,
  • Rosario Alello,
  • Sam Alello,
  • Anthony Alello, and
  • Frank Alello.

Gasparo "Jasper" Alello imigrated to the United States, arriving in New Orleans on October 24, 1894, and settled in St. James Pairsh, Louisiana His wife Rosalie Centanni Alello, and their six oldest children who were also born in Sicily, Ital came to America with them.

Gasparo "Jasper" Alello 's family moved to Baton Rouge where he lived for 52 years.

Gasparo "Jasper" Alello passed away on May 19, 1944 at the age of 87 years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Gasparo "Jasper" Alello was buried in Roselawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, USA on Saturday, 20, 1944 after a funeral service at Sacred Heart Church in Baton Rouge.
