Two reasons: [1] Mercado "Gabrial" is born ca 1859 and Solomon ca 1851, both in Monastir; [2] Mercado "Gabrial" lists as his final destination in the US, his son, Nahman, c/o Moulia Alevy. If this is the Moulia Alevy who is the son of Solomon Alevy, the "coincidence" may be because Moulia and Nahman are first cousins. However, Rose (Rader) Alevy stated Estelle Alevy was 3rd, 4th, or 5th cousin to Isaac Alevy, husband of Rebecca Sarfatty. In which case Solomon would be at least a first cousin to these brothers, Mercado "Gabrial" and Joseph.
