John died on 3 Dec. 1931 at Moody, McLennan County, Texas and was buried at Naler Cemetery, Moody, McLennan County, Texas. His memorial has a copy of his obituary from the McGregor Mirror on 11 Dec. 1931, photos and links to those of family members.[1]
