William was the first child and son born to William and Mary, and in the 1861 census, he was recorded living with his parents and siblings Henry James Alexander and Mary Jane Alexander, in 16, Charlotte Street, St Pancras, London & Middlesex, England. [3]
During 1880, in Kensington, London, William married Marianne Smith. [5]
The 1881 census shows the couple living in 43 High Street, Marylebone, Middlesex. William is recorded as a Dentist Assistant. [6]
In 1891, William and Marianne were living at 55 Grove Road, Marylebone, Middlesex. William was recorded as a Registered Dentist. [7]
When the 1901 census was taken, William was recorded as a Registered Dentist, and the couple were now living in 84, Centurion Road, Brighton, Sussex, England. [8]
By 1911, William and Marianne were living in 167 High Street, Tooting, Middlesex, and William was now recorded as a Surgeon Dentist. The census also records that they never had children. [9]
William passed away during 1916 in Islington, London, England. [10]
