Biography

Lavinia Elizabeth Alexander (1901-1936) was born in Ripon Street, Bootle in north Liverpool on the 1st May 1901. She was the daughter of Ernest Alexander and Mary Groveham. ^[1] She was christened on the 9th June 1901 at St Mary, Kirkdale, Liverpool. ^[2]

They lived on Peter Road, Walton in 1906 ^[3] when she was admitted to Arnot Road school in Walton. She would be withdrawn and admitted a couple of times as they moved house but ultimately left there in August 1914 to attend private school. ^[4]

They had moved house around 1910 to nearby Margaret Road, Walton and were shown there in the 1911 census. ^[5]

She married Tom Eric Calland at Christ Church, Bootle in Liverpool in 1923. ^{[6] [7]}

During their marriage, they moved fairly frequently around the Sefton Park/Mossley Hill areas of South Liverpool spending a year or two in each of Bleasdale Road ^[8] Oakdale Road, ^[9] Karslake Road, ^[10] spending the most time at Rosedale Road, Mossley Hill where they lived between 1933 and 1936 ^[11] although when she died on the 25th March 1936, it was at Strathmore Drive, Great Crosby, Lancashire. ^{[12] [13]}

She was buried on the 30th March 1936 at Allerton Cemetery, Liverpool. ^[14]
