Biography
George Alexander is a part of US Black heritage.
George W. Alexander was born about 1850 in Washington, DC. He was the son of George Alexander and Martha Magruder.[1]
He married Rachel Josephine Cook on 10 October 1877 in Washington, DC.[2] In 1880 they were living in Washington with their young son, George Alexander J.[3] Their second child, Gladys, was also born in Washington.
In 1900 George and Rachel were living in Helena, Montana. George was a janitor, his son was an electrician.[4] In 1910 George was still a janitor in a bank building in Helena.[5]
