Biography

Magnus was born in 1689 and was christened on 15 December 1689 at St Botolph's, Bishopsgate, London. He was the son of Magnus Alexander and Eliza Woolfe. [1]

He died in 1720 and was buried on 06 October 1720 in Stepney, Middlesex, England. [2]

Research Notes

1. Two children - John Alexander (25 Mar 1713) and Ann Alexander (25 Aug 1716) - where christened in Stepney; both were stated to be the children of Magnus and Elizabeth Alexander. This suggests that Magnus married

2. The parish record of the burial says "Magnes Alexander of B. G. Pens." - could this be "of Bishopsgate pensioner"? It would be unusual to be considered a pensioner at age 31.
