Biography

From Will of Philip Bovair:

. . . unto my Wife Catharine, all my household goods and furniture, Also One room in the new House upon the Farm I now reside on - Also the use of the Kitchen yard, Garden Out Buidings in commen with my son Henry. Also I give and Devise unto my said Wife, an Annuity, . . of five pounds - also twenty Bushels of Good Wheat. The said Wheat . . . is to be by Henry taken to the Mill, ground into Flour and Brought Back to her. Also he is to deliver to her firewood for one stove, cut, split, fit for the Stove, in sufficient Quantitites, at a time. And Should my said Wife find that the sum of five pounds is not sufficient for her Maintenance . My will further is that my son Henry do pay unto her the further sum of give pounds, yearly and every year . . . Also my Will further is that my Son Henry do keep on the Farm for Her, one Cow and four sheep, and to pasture and feed Summer and Winter, free of all costs or charges to her - Also my Will further is that Should my said Wife Catharine Marry again, I hereby Declare the aforesaid Devise to Her to be nul and void = And in View thereof, my will is that she immediately leave the said House and premises - and take her cow and sheep away - and that my son Henry do pay until Her the Sum of twenty give pounds . . . Also I give and Devise unto my son Henry Bovair all that my farm that I now reside on, being composed of the North Half of Lot Number Eleven in the Third Concession of the Township of King containing One Hundred Acres more or less . . . I give and Devise unto my son Joseph Bovair the sum of Thirty Five Pounds. I give and Devise unto my son Peter Bovair the Sume of thirty five pounds. I give and Devise unto my four Daughters (viz) Abigail wife of William Hollinshead - Susan Wife of George Alexander - Betsey Wift of Sylvanus Woodard, and Nancy Bovair - the sum of twenty pounds to each one - And I give and Devise until my son Philip Bovair two acres of land . . . Also I give and Devise unto my son Charles the Sum of two pounds two shillings . . .
