Biography

Archibald was born in 1708. He married 1) Margaret Parks on 31 DEC 1734 in Ireland. They had 7 children:

Archibald married 2) Jane McClure in 1757 at Augusta County, Virginia. They had children:

He was captain in "The Sandy Creek Voyage" against the Indians in 1756.

Archibald, eldest son of William Alexander was born at Cunningham Manor on 4 Feb 1708. In 1736 he accompanied his brother Robert to America, settling in New Providence, in Pennsylvania. About 1747 he removed to Rockbridge in Virginia. He married twice, with 2 sons, 5 daughters by first wife and 4 sons 3 daughters by second wife.
