Biography

US Black Heritage Project
Peg Alexander is a part of US Black heritage.

Peg was born before 1761. Peg was enslaved on Abingdon Plantation owned by Garrard Alexander. When he died in 1761, he left Peg to his daughter, Nancy. Peg is named in the will of Garrard Alexander as the daughter of a Negro wench named Moll. However Moll is not bequeathed to any of his family, so it is possible that she had passed on or was sold.
