Biography
Vera Grace Alexander was born in 1894, the daughter of private gentleman and land agent Robert Alexander and Emilia Nicholson. The Alexanders lived at 44 Fitzwilliam Place in Dublin City.
In 1901, the family were staying with Emilia's elderly uncle Gilbert Nicholson, at his house in Oldbridge, St Mary's, County Meath. It was a large, eighteen roomed house and Gilbert had nine servants to tend to his niece and her family.
