Lesley Alexander of Newtownlimavady, co. Londonderry, was the son of James Alexander of the same place, a rich merchant. James Alexander married Elizabeth Ross of Newtownlimavady.

He settles and annuity on his son Oliver, who isdescribed a s residing in America.
