"John Alexander was Burgress and merchant in Aberdeen but his relatives lived at some considerable distance, and therefore he appointed as guardians to his children his wife's uncle, Sir Robert Farquhar, and her "cussinjermen," Author Forbes of Escht. (5-10). He left "Konsideralboil Patremoney." He seems to have had a brother or nephew, Charles who acted as father to Marjorie Moir or More at her marriage, probably settled in London. He may be son of John Alexander, Bergess of Aberdeen; a wadset was granted toth June 1625 to John Alexander, Burgess and his children Robert, John and William.^[2]"
