Biography

Jane's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1898 in the Barton Regis district.^[1] Jane was the child of Richard Alford and Selina Howe.

In 1911, she was 12 and at school. She was living with her widowed mother and 4 siblings at 45 Lake St, St Pauls, Bristol. ^[2]

In 1916, she married Frederick Jakeways in Pontypridd, Glamorganshire. ^[3]

She died in 1976 in Bristol.^[4]
