Robert Algeo was born about 1834 in Glenmaquin, Raphoe, Donegal, Ireland & baptised 23rd November 1834 in the Church of Ireland, Raphoe, Donegal, Ireland, the son of John Algeo & Mary Snodgrass.[1]
Robert Algie, age 18, Millworker, of 16 West Brae, High Parish Paisley & Catherine Hanna, age 18, of 16 West Brae, High Parish Paisley were married 14th June 1852 in Paisley High Church, Renfrewshire, Scotland by John J. Dickson, E.C. Paisley, following proclamations of Banns on May 30th, June 6th and June 13th 1852.[2][3]
Robert Algie, aged 58, Boilermaker, born Donegal, Ireland & his wife Catherine Algie aged 56, born Renfrew, Scotland sailed from London 3rd January 1900 on the "Duke of Norfolk" as full paying steerage passengers, via Port Said, Colombo, Batavia, Samarang, Sourabaya & Thursday Island before disembarking at Cairns, Queensland, Australia around 23rd February 1900, before the ship continued onto southern ports before reaching it's destination at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on 3rd March 1900.[4][5]
Robert Algie died aged 86, on 9th November 1915 in Home Hill, Queensland, Australia & was laid to rest in the original cemetery in Home Hill, Queensland, Australia on 10th November 1915.[6][7][8]
