Biography
AMILY DATA COLLECTION, PROVO UTAH: Thomas Alger, son of Samuel Alger and Clarissa Hancock, died in 1862 in Chillicothe, Livingston County, Missouri. 1850 US Census, Thomas was born about 1827 in Ohio. He married Sarah Ann Edwards about 1848. Sarah Ann's father kept a journal which proved that Thomas died before July 1862. His children with Sarah Ann were: Thomas Alger Jr (1849-1852), Samuel Edwards Alger (1850-1932), Joseph Johnson Alger (1852-1931), Clarissa Elizabeth Alger (1855-1928), John Wilce Alger (1857-1931), Sarah Saphronia Alger (1860-1939), and Polly Ann Alger (1861-1943).
