Samuel Algie was born 21st July 1911 [1] at 158 Castlebank Street, Partick, Lanarkshire, Scotland, the son of Samuel Algie & Annie Balgarnie.

Samuel Algie, age 28, Bachelor, Motor Lorry Driver, of 48 Grove Street, Glasgow, (son of Samuel Algie, Carter & Annie Algie Maiden Surname Balgarnie) & Mary Jane McLaughlin, age 21, Spinster, Domestic Servant, of 48 Grove Street, Glasgow, (daughter of Robert McLaughlin, Coal Miner & Annie Stead McLaughlin Maiden Surname Anderson) were married 14th October 1939 at 9 Hazelwood Road, Glasgow, Scotland after Publication according to the Forms of the Church of Scotland by H. C. McColl M.A., Milton Parish, Glasgow. Samuel & Mary both signed. Witnesses were Hugh McLaughlin, 32 Breslin Terr, Eastfield & Rachel McLaughlin, 32 Breslin Terr, Eastfield.[2]

Samuel Algie died aged 58, in 1970 in Glasgow, Scotland.[3]
