William married his cousin Margaret Gregory on the 6th of September 1832, at Edinburgh.[2]
Margaret passed away in 1849, and they had no children.
William Pulteney Alison M.D. passed away at his home at Edinburgh, Scotland on the 22nd of September 1859.[3][4]
