Biography

Janet was born about 1846, Ayrshire, Scotland. Parents being Stevenson Allan and Maria aka Mena Marshall.

1851 Residence 20 West Netherton Street, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Janet is 5 years old and her father Stevenson is 38, occupation Shoemaker and mother Mena Marshall is 27 years. Janet's half Siblings in the household are Mary 14, occupation is that of a Weaver and Eliz 12, occupation Pirn winder, both girls are from her fathers 1st marriage.
