Biography
Sena (also spelled Sina) Alland was born on July 25, 1900, to Torkel K. Alland and Ingeborg Jensdatter (Langlie) Alland of Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County, Minnesota.[1][2][3] She was baptized on August 19, 1900, in the North Waseca Lutheran Church, Waseca County, Minnesota.[3]
Sena's father Torkel Alland died on September 13, 1901.[4]
In 1905, Sena was four years old and living with her widowed mother and her four siblings on the family farm in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County, Minnesota.[5]
At the time of the 1910 census, Sena was nine years old and living with her mother, her four siblings, and her maternal grandfather, Jens Langlie, on the family farm in Blooming Grove Township.[6]
Sena passed away on November 29, 1919,[7] of "consumption" (usually meaning tuberculosis, but it was during the worldwide influenza epidemic so it might have been influenza).[1] She was buried on December 2, 1919, in the North Waseca Lutheran Church Cemetery, Waseca County, Minnesota.[1][8]
