Biography

Daniel Allen, son of Walter Allen and Rebecca Ward. who were of Newbury, Massachusetts by 1640, so he was likely born in England. ^[1]

In the will of his uncle Nathaniel Ward, dated May 27, 1664, bequests were left to 'my Kinsman Daniel Allyn of Nashaway (now Lancaster, Massachusetts), my Kinswoman Browne of Salem my sister Allyn's daughter, among other's. ^[1]

His father Walter Allen's will, in his will written in July, 1681, left bequests to sons John, Daniel and Joseph. ^{[1] [2]}

Daniel married Mary (unk/? Wlder) about 1660.

Daniel died in 1705.

On April 23, 1705, Elnathan Allen and John Allen of the County of Middlesex and Ebenezer Allen of Stoningtown posted bond in the administration of the estate of Daniel Allen's estate as he died intestate and Elnathan was appointed administrator of his father Daniel's estate. ^[3]
