DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Abigail by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Abigail:
Allen-19260 and Allen-15340 appear to represent the same person because: These are two spouse entries for Abigail Allen, wife of John Shepard. Two John Shepard's were merged earlier and now these two units are looking like two different wives. The problem here is with the birth date as they disagree by eight years. There is, in fact, no birth date for Abigail Allen. There are two baptism dates - 9/9/1680 and 12/5/1688. I recommend picking 1680 (year only) as the birth year and including a discussion of the issue in the notes.
