Elizabeth "Betty" Allen Toti, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 78.
Born in Newark, she lived in Hillside prior to moving to East Brunswick, 29 years ago.
Prior to retiring in 1985, she was a secretary for various companies. Mrs. Toti was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Old Bridge.
Predeceased by her husband, Gerardo, who died in 1993; her parents, Russell Milton Allen, who died in 1976, and Elizabeth Britton Allen, who died in 1964; four sisters, Flora Fischer, Eleanor Stephens, who died in 2005, Marie Ignomerello, who died in 2005, and Claire Sindone, who died in 2006.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry and his wife, Eileen, and Michael and his wife, Debra, all of East Brunswick; two sisters, Patricia Pisano and her husband, John of Belleville, and Judy Frank and her husband Nat of Toms River; four brothers, Russell M. Allen and his wife, Ann of Union, John Allen and his wife, Doris of Clifford Beach, Robert Allen and his wife, Iris of Toms River, and Charles Allen and his wife, Charlene of Tranquility, and five grandchildren, Jerry, Jeffrey, Amanda, Brian, and Michael.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Monday, at Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Friends may call from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
