Jane was born about 1568. She came over (to Ireland) with the Lord Deputy, the Earl of Sussex and became a settler in Ireland. [1]
Presumably, that would have been Henry Sidney who was the Lord Deputy of Ireland from 1565-1571 and 1575-1578. If Jane accompanied him for his second return, she would only have been about 9 years old.

As you can see here there are two Philips listed as half brothers. They are actually the same person by the way. Of the two Philips, Gowan-104 is more accurate. The other Philip, Gowan-12 will lead you down to the other major error at Gowan-9, where Elizabeth Jane (Cowan) Hall appears as the daughter for John Gowan and Martha Hunter - she is NOT.
To see the correct information please see Allen-36891and Gowan-371. Philip married Rose Dillon see Dillon-3684. Their son Thomas Gowan Gowan-370 married Mary St.Leger-199. TGowan-12. and merge Gowan-104 to the correct link at Gowan-371, being very careful to select the merge for the later profile i.e. Gowan-371 NOT Gowan-104.
