Nehemiah Allen, son of Samuell, was born in 1636 or about 1639 at Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut. His father died when he was 12, and his mother married William Hulbut. The family moved to Northampton, Massachusetts in 1657. He lived in Salisbury, Connecticut, and in Northampton, Massachusetts. Nehemiah married Sarah Woodford, daughter of Thomas, on September 21, 1664. Nehemiah died in Northampton on June 27, 1684, and Sarah then married Richard Burke on September 1, 1687.

Samuel, born January 3, 1666.
Nehemiah, born October, 1667; died in infancy.
Nehemiah, born November 6, 1669; married Ruth, daughter of David Burt, in 1710.
Sarah, born August 22, 1672; married Joseph Strong of Northampton in 1694.
Thomas, born January 17, 1675; died the next year.
Hannah, baptized May 6, 1677.
Ruth, born January or June 4, 1680; married Josiah Leonard on December 16, 1702.
Unnamed child, born August 12, 1683; died very soon.
Silence, born August, 1684; died before 1691.

Nehemiah Allen was the great-grandfather of Ethan Allen, an American Revolutionary War leader who fought for Vermont's independence.
