Nathaniel Allen was born 10 February 1672 to Samuel Allen and Sarah Partridge in Bridgewater, New Plymouth Colony.
On 14 December 1696, he married Bethiah Conant in Bridgewater.
Nathaniel Allen married Mary Lovell on 26 April 1710 in Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay Colony.
It is rumored that he had a second wife, Mary "Abigail" Lovell, by whom he had issue, as well.
Nathaniel moved from Bridgewater to Middleborough, Massachusetts sometime after his son, james, was born in Bridgewater in 1704. His next child, Bethiah, was born in Middleborough in January 1707 or 1708 (depending on whether calendar correction was used). No mother is listed for this birth. The next birth, in 1711, lists Mary as the mother. This birth is listed in both towns. The Middleborough marriage record lists the marriage of a Nathaniel Allen to a Mary Allen, but no date is given, nor does it state whether this was the bride's maiden name. However, their marriage record in Barnstable, Massachusetts lists her surname as Lovell. It is likely that the clerk in Middleborough didn't know her maiden name and substituted her husband's name when reporting their marriage. See her profile for more details.
No death record is found, though he supposedly died 1 October 1751..
