Biography
Robert H. Allen, son of James and Sarah Allen, was born on 14 Nov. 1796[1] in South Carolina.
He married Maranda Carroll on 29 May 1835 at Hall County, Georgia.[2]
He was a farmer when he and Maranda appeared on the census of 2 Dec. 1850 at Gordon County, Georgia. They were living next to Nimrod Cox and Kisiah Carroll.[3] He was a farmer when he and Maranda appeared on the census of 7 June 1860 at Pickens County, Georgia.[4] He was a miller when he and Maranda appeared on the census of 5 Aug. 1870 at Wilsons, Hall County, Georgia.[5]
Robert died on 10 Aug. 1870 and was buried at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia. His memorial has a photo of his headstone.[1]
