Biography

Joshua was born on 12 Jan 1805 at Trim, Co. Meath, the son of James Allen and his wife Jane. He was baptised on 20 Jan 1805 at Trim.[1]

In 1835, with his elder brother William, he was Secretary to the Grand Jury.[2]

On 30 Jun 1864 he married Mary Farrell, daughter of Denis Farrell, at Saint Jude, Dublin, Ireland.[3]
