OBITUARY [probably Lapeer, MI, newspaper] Died at his home in Elba, Dec. 13th, 1892, William S. Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Allen, aged 30 years, 10 months, 1 day. He was born in Sympronus [sic], Cayuga county, N.Y. He moved to Michigan with his parents when about three years of age. After moving several times he settled on the Clark farm, where he lived until death called him away. He was married July 16, 1876, to Miss Emily J. Shepard, of Oregon. Deceased was the first of a large family to go. He leaves a wife, three children, father, mother, three brothers and one sister to mourn for him besides a large circle of friends.

Mrs. William Allen and family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy in their recent sad bereavement of a husband and father so dear to them.
