Samuel was born in 1833 in New York.
Samuel served with the Co. I of Wisconsin's 33rd Regiment Infantry. He entered service from Randall township on August 18, 1862. He died of disease on April 15, 1863, at Memphis, Tenn. The 1860 census of Randall listed Samuel at age 26. - Burlington Historical Society
He is buried in the Memphis National Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, USA.[1]
